Introduction

As a wearer in the Masterworks Broach of the Month Club 2010, Jo Mears and partner/BOM maker Sharon felt obliged to take Ross Malcolm's brooch 'In the Pink' on tour with them as they set out on a three week adventure with sixty other kombis around the South Island of New Zealand to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Volkswagen Type II in New Zealand.

Dunedin Art Gallery bubbles and Pounawea pops

Days Twelve and Thirteen: Dunedin Galleries, lunch with arty people and a nice drive south to Pounawea.
Got woken up by some petrol head rally driver geeks reving their poked engines from 5 - 7 am. Did the fingers out the window to the one parked beside us but he didnt seem to be worried or inclined to bugger off. Moved to the otherside of campground away from the bogans and accidently landed quite close to my neices best friend camilla and some nice ducks.

Got a ride into Dunedin with a nice man from the Dunedin VW club. Had the coolest visit to the Dunedin Public Art Gallery and was most impressed with everything, especially the bubble wrapped floor of Madeline Child's popcorn exhibition. Cool! Had lunch with Heather Straka and Robyn the Public Programmes Manager. Wandered around passed Quadrant and Lure which both close at 2 on a Saturday, found Milford Gallery and liked some woody paintings by a boy called Blake.

Saw some really cool stencils in Dunedin
And this strange man
We were adorned by Wilson and Harriet for the evening BBQ
Saw a lovely old kiln
Beside a railway track
And went through a humpy bridge at Balclutha

Adorned by a Kristin D'Agostino badge today, joey wearing the scream

Camped in a beautiful spot beside Lake Pounawea tonight
