Introduction

As a wearer in the Masterworks Broach of the Month Club 2010, Jo Mears and partner/BOM maker Sharon felt obliged to take Ross Malcolm's brooch 'In the Pink' on tour with them as they set out on a three week adventure with sixty other kombis around the South Island of New Zealand to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Volkswagen Type II in New Zealand.

Twizel to Kenberry

Day eleven: Twizell to Oamaru and on to Dunedin.
Had been a little concerned about the seeping fluid around the fuel pump so asked Frank what he thought before we left Twizel. Probly a bit of a cracked seal he reckoned so we decided to skip Oamaru and head for Ken Berry in Dunedin so he could fit a new one for us. What a lovely man. Will do some washing and visit some galleries with our extra Dunedin day.

It was bloody cold in Twizel this morning. We had ice inside on the roof of the van.
Strange hill brooch near Duntroon
Penguins on the wharf at Oamaru.
We didnt want to pay $20 to go to the penguin visitors centre so took these two pictures instead so that you can imagine what they look like closer up:
Saw a Moa near the beach
And a nice Haere Mai mail box with some sheeps
Pink had a chat and a carrot wth two deers at Moeraki
Then went bowling
These are Cat and Dog, our new mascots
This is what getting a new fuel pump looks like in Kenberrys driveway (he ran away when I got the camera out)
