Introduction

As a wearer in the Masterworks Broach of the Month Club 2010, Jo Mears and partner/BOM maker Sharon felt obliged to take Ross Malcolm's brooch 'In the Pink' on tour with them as they set out on a three week adventure with sixty other kombis around the South Island of New Zealand to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Volkswagen Type II in New Zealand.

How many wows can you get in one day

Day 10ish Orari to Twizel via Mt Cook
Joey took 148 photos today - a whole lot of wows driving over moonscape plateaus, teal blue lakes and spladoscious mountain scapes. We all got filmed by TV3 today, might be on Campbell Live tomorrow.

Nice Splat
Moss (Rachel Bell) at Lake Tekapo
Line up through brown coloured spectacles
Busbus poses in front of Mt Cook
Pink on Mt Cook
Some other nice looking mountains
Bus bus looks back at the snow cloud brooch to the left of Mt Cook
Another nice bunch of mountains
I was trying to get a cool reflection shot of mountains but got this instead which is also pretty cool i reckon
Those TV men just interveiwed us eating nachos. Thrilling! Sadly we were not wearing 'In the Pink' so could not do any shameless advertising of the Broach of the Month Club.

The people next to us at Ruataniwha camp have a really nice front bit in their 1972 transitional bay. Busbus looked a bit like this before I added the stereo and shelf underneath.
The TV3 mens filming Dave putting up his roof. Fascinating stuff.
